Policy & Rules

VOLLEYPARK – TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following is an outline of the Volleyparks policy for all leagues and tournament events as well as payment and participation terms. By participating in league and tournament events you agree to all the following terms and conditions.

  • Team Registrations – Captains are not required to sign up full roster when signing up for league. However, roster must be completed by Week 6 of season and captains cannot change after Week 6 of season. The Volleypark cannot add individuals to a team without that teams consent.
  • Individual Registrations – The Volleypark will try and place all free agents in their first choice of play. If Volleypark cannot get individual on a team on their first choice then Volleypark can offer other options for league play. If no option can be reached then individual will receive a refund.
  • Refund Policy – Teams may cancel their league registration 72 hrs (3 days) from league start date with full refund. Any cancellations within that window will not be accepted. Volleypark can save/move registration for another season or day. If team cancels their registration for a viable league within the 3 day window team will get only 85% refund due to credit card fees.
  • Playoffs – no new players for playoffs! Players must have participated in at least 1 week of regular season to be eligible. If you know you are going to miss playoffs, have someone come and share time with the team in week 1-6. However! For playoffs a team who is short and has not had a sub all season are allowed to pick up just 1 player from the league that they are playing in. You are not allowed to pick up a higher level player from another league on that night. If a team is missing multiple players then they can still just pick up 1 player and no more.
  • Waivers – All players on the team must sign team waiver! Even Subs! Find your coordinator and get them signed! If playoffs come and a player is not on waiver if other teams challenges the player then you will lose if player is not on waiver!
  • Makeups/Rescheduling – Nobody wants a forfeit! Volleypark wants all games to be played. Volleypark will assist in helping finding a makeup time. Volleypark will need to be notified by 1pm on gameday by either email or phone call so we can let other team know. Volleypark will still try and get team a game for that night. After talking with teams and rescheduling the game, the game will be played at agreed upon time or if no agreed upon time then it will go down as a win for the team who was forfeited against.
  • Forfeits – We all know that “No Call No Show” to a game is no good for anybody! If the Volleypark does not hear from you and your team no shows then it is a forfeit with no makeup option. You will also lose a game later in the seasons schedule which will be provided to provide the team that missed playing a game the week you did not show up. Please let us know so we respect EVERYONES time!
  • No Shows – If you no show 2 times then you will receive a phone call from the Volleypark and see whats going on with your team. We have choice to rearrange schedule to make sure teams get games played. See Forfeits #7
  • Requests – When you sign up please mark your requests! If you play on multiple teams please let Volleypark know in your request option. This goes a long way in avoiding schedule madness! Not all request maybe granted as requesting all 7:30 games, but will try and accommodate as best as possible! Requests after full schedule is out may not be accommodated. This effects other teams as well and may not be possible.
  • League Viability – Leagues are viable when a league reaches 4 teams. Once a league reaches 4 teams there will be no refunds given out. If a league does not reach 4 teams or any unforeseen happenings in which Volleypark has to cancel then teams will be given an option to move to a different league or day or be given a full refund if any other option cannot be reached.
  • Weather Policy – We play in the rain. We have a great drainage system and our courts rarely flood, in instances that we do get torrential downpours we will call players in and wait on the system to pass. If weather looks like there will be no let up then we will cancel games, but not the whole evening unless the system will continue for rest of night. In case of cancellations we will remake the games up ideally in a doubleheader later in the season. If it is last week of season or playoffs then we will just push back a week. Coordinator will contact captains if games are canceled, but for quickest response please check our facebook page.

Please report your match scores to your league coordinator after your games.

The Volleypark has 3 different divisions of 6s Volleyball – Rec/Intermediate/Competitive. The basic rules of volleyball need to be followed for all divisions and as the skill level goes up, the more rules need to be applied. To avoid arguments captains please take a minute before your match to talk about how you want the game to be played. Once in the game and an infraction has occurred and a team calls out the other team on the infraction then the point will go to the team who called out the infraction. If a disagreement occurs then replay the point, and explain the infraction so the player(s) understand. Please use good sportsmanship!
