Our Story
The Best Damn Sand in the Land
The VolleyPark opened in 2009 with a simple idea: create a great place to play sand volleyball in Columbus.
More than 17 years later, that idea has grown into something bigger. With five sand courts, leagues ranging from recreational 6s to competitive doubles, the Barefoot Bar, tournaments and Open Play, The VolleyPark has become a place where people come to compete, connect and have a good time.
AND YES, THE SAND MATTERS.
Our five courts feature a drainage system designed to keep them playable throughout the season. Over the years, players started calling it something we're still pretty proud of:
“The Best Damn Sand in the Land.”

Volleyball may be what brings people through the gate, but it's the people who make The VolleyPark what it is. Teammates become friends. Matches turn into post-game drinks. Friday nights stretch a little longer than planned. And every summer, familiar faces come back to do it all over again.
